Guide to Open Places

The Guide to Open Places deals with open, adaptable structures of the city - so-called "Open Places".
It is based on the work of a research and exhibition project at ETH Zurich.

We had started an expedition to look for Open Places all over the world. Within 4 months the Guide to Open Places evolved into a great and impressing collection of Open Places. We have collected 140 places from all over the world: from Sao Paulo to Melbourne, from Johannesburg to Moscow. All places exemplify the qualities of openness and are now a thinktank for further research.
